525,600

525,600 minutes
525,000 moments so dear.
525,600 minutes
how do you measure,
measure a year?
In daylights, in sunsets,
in midnights, in cups of coffee.
In inches, in miles,
in laughter, in strife.
In 525,600 minutes
how do you measure a year in the life?
How about love? Measure in love. Seasons of love.

525,600 minutes!
525,000 journeys to plan.
525,600 minutes
how can you measure
the life of a woman or man?
In truths that she learned,
or in times that he cried.
In bridges he burned,
or the way that she died.

It’s time now to sing out,
tho the story never ends
let’s celebrate, remember a year
in the life of friends.
Remember the love! Measure in love. Seasons of love!

How can you measure a year made up of hundreds of thousands of diverse moments? Like trying to count the number of grains of sand on the beach, or the stars in the sky, or snowflakes on a mountain peak, it’s impossible.

But, you can remember those moments that will become treasured memories. Time spent with friends over a cup of coffee or a watercolor sunset painted on God’s canvas. Moments of personal growth measured in inches, or breakthroughs measured in miles.
Instead of getting caught up in “measuring up,” take time to simply measure life by the priceless moments you’re given.

How will you measure this year?

I think Rent is such a moving story, tells the story of those with AIDS and how they deal with problems, relationships and love in one year, even with AIDS they have the time of their life, knowing that time is precious and one day it will be their time to go. All the songs in Rent tell their life in one year. I think Rent is the best movie i have ever seen.
